I dunno. The X-Files and MI-5 fan in me does not want to believe this story. This man was about to face 20 years in prison. He used to be very powerful. And powerful people can do many things.
I know. At first, I was thinking it wasn't such a bad thing since the Us government wouldn't have to pay to keep him in jail. Then, I thought that he got off without ever having to pay for his crimes, and now, the tiny paranoid part in me wonders if he is in sunny Mexico... LOL
